At 6 tonight there’s a debate at Birmingham Town Hall. I’m not exactly sure who’ll be there, to be honest – off the top of my head, I can only remember the presenter, James Naughtie. What a great name – and yes, I know how it should be pronounced. It should be interesting, as I’m quite confident that some difficult questions will be asked – although who will answer them remains to me a mystery. The debate is being streamed here from 7pm tonight, and excerpts will be broadcast on Radio 4 tomorrow morning, on the Today Programme.
